Baby in the Belly

OOoooohhhh, what a beautiful baby belly this momma has. I just don't know how I keep getting so lucky with so many gorgeous families. Is it written in my 'fine print' somewhere that I only photograph beautiful, special people & I just don't know it?

Thanks for being up to all my crazy requests! I know you don't usually hang out in your front yard down in the grass with your belly out!

Or heck, maybe you do. (grin)

Either way, it was fun & you all looked great!

Between the Storm Clouds...

...there was just enough time for tonight's session with these beautiful kids. I got some of my favorite things with this session -

Little girls with big chocolate brown eyes-

Little boys with dimples -

And one year olds -

I almost squealed with joy when I met these three! SO much fun. And aren't they gorgeous?

Don't I have the greatest job?

The Adventures Of Two Photographers...

...on the quest for the perfect location. Tricia (another photographer friend) knew of a sweet spot with a faux beach of sorts on the river & wanted to show me.

So away we go, with four kids in tow - a seven year old, two four year olds & an infant.

Got there, and noticed the mud. Oh my gosh, the mud. I'm not talking "well, it's a little muddy out there" mud, either.
Trisha was the first to get stuck...up to her knees. Oh yes, I'm not kidding. Her knees.
She got free, and we considered aborting the mission to actually get to the beach. Just then a group of folks showed up & were determined to get to the river beach. And they did. So we thought, if they can do it so can we!
They carried the kids thru for us & showed us a pretty good path.

She made it.

Then it was my turn to get stuck....up to me knees. Oh yes, I'm not kidding. My knees.

I got rescued by one of the guys & we all said a hurrah of sorts. Washed off in the river, snapped a few shots, let the kids play a bit...then realized that we were going to have to go thru the mud to get back to the van.

Oh great.

The very nice guys helped us again, thank God. They took the babies across again & even put down logs for us to use to get across. Well wouldn't you know it - I got stuck again.
sigh.
You know, during all that crazy stuff, I managed to keep the cameras alive and well. Was up to me knees in mud, and kept the cameras safe. That's talent, don't you think?

All in a day's work, I suppose.

Trisha's Jackson & a shot of my Rachel. Oh, and a shot of our heros out in the river. We weren't going to go thru all that & not shot any pictures for Pete's sake!

Indianapolis Colts FanFest

Downtown Evansville was the place to be tonight. The kids and I spent the evening there having all kinds of fun.

We saw some football players -

Slid & bounced on inflatables -

Tossed footballs (Yes, she actually got it in the hole!) -

Had a picnic at the corner of Riverside & Vine -

Watched an awesome Jon McLaughlin concert as the sun was setting (That's my cousin Luke Berridge on bass! How cool is that?) http://www6.islandrecords.com/site/artist_home.php?artist_id=596

And posed for pictures with Jon -

Whew! It was hot, but fun!

Henry and Jack

We were blessed with a beautiful morning for today's session. Sunny sky & cool grass - just exactly right for two little boys. I was up for the challenge that a 2 1/2 year old & a 7 month old could offer, but it turned out that they were perfect little models who didn't mind the 'Picture Lady' at all!

Picture Lady...that's Henry's name for me. Isn't that funny?
Here's a sneak peek for their Mom & Dad!

Playing America's Next Top Model...

...in the neighbor's backyard. That was the only way she'd let me practice on her. Isn't she funny?

Fierce! (as Tyra would say)
Of course, Rachel is always up for a shot or two.

I didn't even have to bribe her. Got to love that.

I swear this kid poses herself. Isn't she something?

Man do I love those little twerps.
Until tomorrow

Mr. Maddox

Quite simply, this little guy is an angel baby. He has to be the most alert & curious little three month old I've ever seen. He was a DREAM to photograph, and I'm already excited to do his next session in a few months!

And what about his cute mommy and daddy?

Until next time

Random Snapshot Post

Nothing fancy, just a little snap of the kids today. Something about it struck me - all three piled on The Big Chair (as we call it) - Cameron playing Webkinz & the girls watching him and listening to their mp3 players. I don't know why, but it made me smile.

Just a lazy summer vacation afternoon. Don't you love it?

More tomorrow...
