Juliana ~ Latin for Girl, Sweetheart, Youthful.

A few fun facts about Little Miss Juli -

She's too dang smart to use my old 'Help me with my ABC's' trick
She LOVES her new Big Girl bedroom
She loves her new baby cousin "So, so, so Much!"
There are four little tiny pixies that live out in her yard and only she can see them

Aren't little girls fun?

Here's a little sneak peek for Juli's family - Enjoy!

Do You See It?

No, look closer...

Guess what's inside?

Dear Mrs. Cardinal,

Although our front stoop wasn't the best place you could have picked to build your nest - what, with kids in and out 5 million times a day - we are glad you are here with your babies & will do our best to help you keep them safe.

Hubba Hubba

That's what one of my aunts taught me to say to cute boys when I was a little girl...and what I've taught my little girls to say, too. Okay, while it may not be completely appropriate, it's funny if you ask me.

Anyway, that's what these little boys need to get ready to hear pretty often. Talk about gorgeous! All they have to do is flash their big baby browns & you are hooked. Mom and Dad are in for it.

They came a long way to make it home. A long, long way. I hope I served them well.
Welcome home, boys. We are glad you are here.

Laney

One year old. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I loooove me some one year olds. They are so happy just being alive - and as long as you can keep up with them, then you really get the best expressions and smiles.
Here's Miss Laney. She loves blueberries & nekkie bottoms. Grass on her bare feet, not so much. She also loves her momma thinks her daddy is the funniest guy ever.

Sweet sweet sweet.
Until next time

Sweet Allie

You know that beautiful belly shot up in my banner at the top of this page? Well, the baby who used to be in that belly is out now, and she was sure worth the wait.
Meet Sweet Allie - aka Baby With the Biggest Blue Eyes I've Ever Seen. And believe me, I've seen lots of big blue eyes!
Pure sweetness is this little one.
Isn't she an angel baby?
Until next time.

They Can't All Be Keepers, Now Can They?

I love a good outtake now and then, so I thought I'd share a few.

Aren't they funny?? Windblown hair & bug eyes. Portraits? Well, maybe not. : )
I'm squeezing in a little practice here and there, and Rachel is my favorite model. She's still under the impression that it's fun...she's playing America's Next Top Model on our little practice shoots, but I'm sure the day will come when she's fed up with the camera. I do in fact have two other children, but they have already fallen into "Photographer's Child Syndrome" and aren't as eager to help me out.

Isn't this the COOLEST spot? Another photographer friend found it and shared it with me, and I LOOOOVE it!

Anyway, I guess the point is there are going to be a few goofy shots here and there. But as long as there are also shots like this, too...well, makes it's all worth it.

Until next time

"May I Have the Envelope, Please?"

Gosh, that was fun! Voting was fierce, and it was neck and neck there for a while! Want to know who won? : )

Congrats Comers! I'm not sure what won the voters over...the silly face from Big Brother, or Big Sister looking at Baby Brother with pure joy. Either way, it's a shot that tells a story. And I'd be willing to bet that it's a shot that really shows the true personalities of all three of them. That's ALWAYS my goal. What I'm always trying to capture. Usually it just hanging back and being ready. No posing, just patience.
Thanks for playing, everyone! It was fun!

Over and out

2007 Revisited...Up for a Blog Contest?

Well, I sure am. I started looking through some of last year's sessions and started falling in love all over again. I learned so much and met so many great families! So I decided to borrow an idea from a friend and set up this neat-o contest with some of my favorite images from 2007. Not only do you all get to look at these little cuties, but there is actually a PRIZE for the winner! How much better can it get??

Well, let me tell you how it will go down. Up for grabs is a FREE 30 minute Mini Session and 5x7 print. But wait, there's more! (said in my best infomercial voice) The winner will get a second freebie set for a friend! So that's TWO 30 minute Mini Sessions! And TWO 5x7's!

Excited yet? It was SO hard to narrow down the entries, but I did manage to get them down to 12. The images are listed below - voting to the right. Send my link to your family and friends to have them vote. And remember, if you are a friend of the winner then you might just win, too! Let the sucking up begin! (hehe)
Okay, without further ado -

Alright, have at it!
