Grandkids and Siblings and Cousins - Oh My!

...and horses and dogs, too! That's what you get when you have an entire family of nearly 50 together all in one place. Mrs. Oliver (Lovingly named Donder -aka- Grandma) has six children, 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren...if I counted correctly! The entire group of them weathered a VERY chilly day to have family portraits made for Donder. Here are just a few sneak peeks for the Oliver Family ~

And the two candid shots I managed to sneak -

Thanks Doc for letting us take over your house & gorgeous land for the day! Tricia & I -aka the City Girls - sure enjoyed checking out your horses. It's not every day we get to see horses running out in the yard!
It was great to meet you all.

Remember the old days when Easter was warm?

Could we please send a memo to whoever decided to make Easter float around the calendar from year to year that March is too stinking cold to hunt eggs outside? Okay, maybe not every March, but, Hello! - it actually snowed on us today!

Can we take a vote or something? Anyone know?
Ugh.

Oh well, at least we got to see our pretty little cousins. And that's always a good thing. : )

Zach's Sneak Peek

Today was THE most gorgeous day! I got to spend the best part of it with Zach, a soon to be highschool grad. We tried out all kinds of cool spots & had a great time.

Oh, and Zach...remember, it's left on 2nd & right on Adams. : )
Until next time -

An open letter -

Dear People Who Work or Live in the Downtown Henderson Buildings I was Nosing Around at Today with a Tiny Little Curly Headed Girl in a Scooby Doo Shirt & Pink Boots,

Sorry if I looked shady hanging out in the alley snaping shots. It's just that the alley is VERY cool & I couldn't help myself. Don't worry, the tiny little curly headed girl in a Scooby Doo shirt & pink books belongs to me. No, I hadn't combed her hair. And yes, her Scooby Doo shirt is way too small, making it very easy for her little bare belly to stick out. And yes, at times she was annoyed as she looked. So sorry about that, too.

You see, I'm always searching for THE SPOT. That great location that gives me a cool vibe & great light. No matter where I am or what I'm doing, my mind is always looking & thinking. Boy did I hit the jackpot today.

So all you who were wondering what the heck I was doing hanging out in alleys with a four year old - don't worry. When I come back, I'll be in and out of there in no time.

And I promise I'm not shady.

Signed,

Erin

ps - She got to go to the park afterwards for being such a good sport, so it's all good.

What She Thought of Her Photo Session Today

Okay, so I'm proofing images from today's session & had to take a break to share a few outtakes. I got to go back to see Baby Mary Kate today & got some really precious stuff...but being the nerd I am I got the biggest giggle out of these. Her parents will be so pleased!

Let's caption this one - Not Now, I'm on the Phone

Next - Raise Your Hand if you Think Posing for Pictures is Lame

And the best one - Bird, Bird, Bird - The Bird is the Word

Okay, this is a family show, so I took the liberty of censoring that one...but believe me, that's exactly what she's doing....and I'm not convinced that she didn't really mean it! Ha!

Anyway, what a little sweetie she is. And toward the end of our session she actually warmed up to me & gave me some good face. I'd be willing to bet that this one is more likely to be blown up as an 11x14...the others - well, maybe not.

: )

Until next time
